Filled with runway women
Endlessly chasing trends beneath the shadows
From towering monoliths of brick and steel, reveling
In fashion while ignoring function that could keep
Them comfortable, warm, and humble along
Times Square.

Los Angeles:
Ever changing plastic bomb shells
Tanning, spending, consuming, wasting, tanning
With their disposable opinions plastered weekly
Over their mouths to ensure they keep pace with
The ever changing billboards along
Mulholland Drive.

Columbia City:
Shining beauty from unlikely neighborhoods of
Oppressive corn oceans and deflated cow pastures. Humility
And grace abounding during each of our four separate
Seasons. Security not found beneath brand names
But within garments sown of self on
Market Street.
